2025 changes

...that everyone is going to freak out about!

NEW COACHING STRUCTURE

We will no longer be utilizing volunteer high school coaches, instead we have hired a select few amazing coaches that we've worked with in the past, are highly skilled, loved by athletes, and have developed great relationships with parents. By bringing in these dedicated coaches to run multiple teams, we aim to ensure that all our teams are more aligned and cohesive, strengthening our UVCheer family as a whole. We will also have hired assistant coaches (for larger teams) that have cheer background and have been vetted. We are keeping our amazing mom coaches this year. They help tie the team together and keep everyone on the same page!

3. Team Building and Leadership Workshop
Focus: Fostering unity and leadership skills through exercises and discussions aimed at enhancing communication, trust, and leadership qualities.

4. Cheer Techniques and Motions Workshop
Focus: Mastering precise arm movements and body positions to improve overall performance, with detailed instruction on cheer motions, sharpness, synchronization, and proper form.

This season, we're excited to introduce monthly specialty workshops, offered free of charge, to provide additional training and personal growth opportunities.

To ensure a smooth and successful season, we'll be holding a mandatory Zoom meeting for all parents before the season begins. During the meeting, we'll go over expectations for athletes, coaches, and mom coaches, as well as clarify what to expect from the program itself. We want to make sure everyone is on the same page to set ourselves up for a positive and organized season! (Beginning of June)

Mandatory Parent Zoom Meeting

Introducing our brand-new specialty team designed just for 1st and 2nd graders! This team is perfect for young athletes looking to dip their toes into the world of cheerleading. With just one hour-long practice each week, this team provides a fun, low-commitment opportunity to learn cheer basics, including jumps, arm positions, stunts, sideline dances, and a halftime routine. The season runs from June through August, concluding with an exciting performance at our Showtime event. Tuition is $65 per month for three months, and the uniform package is $65, which includes a game day t-shirt, shorts, poms, and a bow. This is a fantastic way to introduce your child to cheer in a supportive and energetic environment!

Level of Commitment

The nature of cheer require teammates, especially for stunts. So this year for all our athletes we will be enforcing a new rule that requires attendance to 6 out of 8 practices each month (only able to miss 2 practices per month). If your athlete misses more they might be removed from the halftime performance.

All members can participate by referring new athletes who have never been apart of our program. For each successful referral, the referring member will receive a $20 discount applied to their second month's tuition (July). The referred individual must be a new participate who has not previously enrolled in UVCheer. To receive the discount, the referring member must email us with who referred them.
