At Upper Valley Cheer (UVCheer), we’re more than just a cheer program — we’re a family with a passion for empowering youth. Founded in 2015 by Cathy and her daughter Megan, our journey began with a shared dream to create a positive, inclusive space for kids to thrive. Two years later, when Megan moved away, Maddy, Cathy’s other daughter, joined the team. Together, Cathy and Maddy have poured their hearts into building UVCheer into a cornerstone of our community.
Cathy
Cathy’s dedication to working with kids is at the heart of UVCheer. Over the years, she has run her own dance company, managed daycares and preschools, and volunteered tirelessly at her children’s schools. Her passion is helping children discover their potential, build confidence, and achieve their goals.
Maddy
In 2017, Maddy took her love for working with kids and opened Upper Valley Tumbling, a gym focused on helping young athletes grow their skills and character. She brings her experience, energy, and belief in the power of cheerleading to UVCheer, helping kids become hardworking, determined, and well-rounded individuals.
Our Mission
We believe in the transformative power of cheerleading. Our non-competitive program is open to everyone, regardless of skill level. UVCheer teaches kids the value of teamwork, determination, friendship, and fitness, all while having fun. Our goal is to create a supportive environment where youth can grow, thrive, and succeed in all aspects of life.
