how it works

...here's the rundown.

​Our program extends its offerings to teams in the Greater Idaho Falls area, where your child will be placed on a team based on your location and the athlete's age. We emphasize inclusivity, and there are no tryouts—every athlete is guaranteed a spot on a team.

COST: Our monthly tuition for June through September is $95, with a $180 uniform fee and a $15 registration fee. This increase supports our shift to trained, paid coaches and free monthly specialty workshops to enhance athlete growth.

SIGN UPS: Registration opens on April 1st, with practices commencing in the first week of June. The deadline for sign-ups is June 15th.

MANDATORY PARENT ZOOM MEETING: Join us in early June to review program expectations and ensure a smooth, organized season.

PRACTICES: From June 2nd to August 23rd, teams practice twice weekly for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Schedules, available April 1st, include jumps, stunts, cheers, sidelines, and halftime routines over 12 weeks.

GAMES: Weekly games run from late August to early October, ending with championships. Schedules are released in August. Practices stop when games begin, and parents provide halftime snacks, with their child acting as captain for that game. Most games are on Saturdays, except the season opener in late August.

SHOWTIME: In mid-August, we culminate the summer with our Showcase Performance. All teams gather at a football field, presenting their halftime routines, cheers, and dances to friends and family.

MONTHLY SPECIALTY WORKSHOPS: New for 2025, we're excited to introduce monthly specialty workshops, offered free of charge, to provide additional training and personal growth opportunities.

FREE TEAM BONDING ACTIVITES: Teams participate in various free activities fostering unity, team bonding, and growth. This year they will have the opportunity to be in the 4th of July Parade, tumbling open gyms, and our annual skating party!

COACHES: For 2025, we're transitioning from volunteer high school coaches to highly vetted, professional paid coaches for all teams, ensuring quality and unity. Our dedicated mom coaches will continue volunteering and receive one child's season free, a $400 value.

UNIFORMS: Order uniforms by June 15th via our website's UNIFORM page. Early orders ensure timely delivery. Uniforms include a shell top, midriff, skirt, spankies, shoes, poms, and warm-up jacket and pants (approx. $175).

REFFERAL PROGRAM: Refer a new athlete to UVCheer and receive a $20 discount on July tuition. The referred athlete must be new to the program. Email referrals to uvcheer@gmail.com to claim the discount.

Introducing our brand-new specialty team designed just for 1st and 2nd graders! This team is perfect for young athletes looking to dip their toes into the world of cheerleading. With just one hour-long practice each week, this team provides a fun, low-commitment opportunity to learn cheer basics, including jumps, arm positions, stunts, sideline dances, and a halftime routine. The season runs from June through August, concluding with an exciting performance at our Showtime event. Tuition is $65 per month for three months, and the uniform package is $65, which includes a game day t-shirt, shorts, poms, and a bow. This is a fantastic way to introduce your child to cheer in a supportive and energetic environment!
