Cheer one season or join us for both. Each season includes team practices, game-day cheering, friendships, leadership opportunities and the UVCheer experience families have loved since 2015.
Cheering for Friday Night Flag Football
Season: Mid January–May
Registration: Opens December 1st
Practices: Mid-January through mid-April (12 weeks)
Practice schedule: Twice per week until games begin
Games: Begin mid-April through May
Game nights: Fridays
Once games begin: Practices end; teams attend games only
Grades: K–8th
Team options: grade based (K, 1st-2nd, 3-4th, 5-6th, 7-8th)
SPRING CHEER
Cheering for Grid Kid Football
Season: June–mid October
Registration: Opens April 1st
Practices: June–mid August (12 weeks)
Practice schedule: Twice per week until games begin
Games: Late August–mid October
Game day: Typically Saturday
Once games begin: Practices end; teams attend games only
Grades: 1st–8th
Team options: Tigers, Grizzlies, Knights, Bees, Titans, Tiny Stars
FALL CHEER
Fall Cheer (Grid Kid Football)
- Has official cheerleading uniforms
- Has monthly free activities (Kick off party, 4th of July Parade, Showtime Performance, Skate party)
- Monthly tuition is slightly higher ($95/mo)
- Cheers for grid kid football (tackle) and games are on Saturdays
What's the difference between the 2 seasons?
Spring Cheer (Friday Night Flag Football)
- Uniform is lower cost and consists of a tee shirt, hoodie, sweat pants, pom poms.
- No monthly activities
- Monthly tuition is lower ($__)
- Cheers for Friday night (flag) football and games are on Fridays.
